Boot Tan Fest, is a ski festival that comes to Sunlight Mountain Ski Resort in Colorado on March 29-30. The festival is open to women, female-identifying and nonbinary individuals for a weekend of skiing and special events and a naked lap down the slope. Jenny Verrochi started the even back in 2021, and it became a ticketed event that's grown to 450 people.
“It is the best feeling,” Verrochi said. “It’s a super low-key, very chill vibe."
The event offers access to more than 730 skiable acres, and is expecting up to 1,500 attendees from Europe, the U.S. and beyond.
“Now that it’s at a ski resort with lifts, it’s much more accessible for people,” she said. “The location is more accessible, there’s hotels around, parking lots, there’s ski lifts, which makes it beginner-friendly and anyone can join.”
The festival, will not take over the venue, as Sunlight Mountain will operate like normal, meaning all genders are welcome to enjoy skiing and snowboarding, but once the resort closes at 3 p.m. on March 29, the slopes will be limited to Boot Tan Fest ticket holders.
“It’s a normal ski day with your clothes on and then it’s an after-hours thing,” Verrochi said.
