There are two wild animals loose in South Carolina, which is already going through a state search for fugitive monkeys!
The monkeys escaped a medical research facility in Beaufort County, and now two emus named Thelma and Louise are on the run.
"The department is aware of the reported emus and we have made contact with the owner. We are working to aid the owner in the effort to locate and capture the animals," the The Horry County Police Department wrote on Facebook. "There is no risk to the community associated with the emus at this time."
Sam Morace, the owner of the birds, said the Emus hopped the fence,
"They decided they wanted to hop the fence when we were trying to grab one of them to move her to another paddock and well she didn't like that," Morace said. "So she living the wild life, well both of them are."
It is important to note that if the Emus are sighted they are to be reported and not asked for car insurance.
