The Patriots lost on Saturday night. They simply didn't play well enough to win.
And within minutes - an avalanche of criticism came down on the team, and on Tom Brady. That's the culture that sports radio has turned sports fans into. Critics all. Everybody is an armchair quarterback who loves to bitch about everything about the team/player/game.
But here's the picture that every Pats fan should see...
I know the pic is from a couple of years ago - but the point is still the same:
The man is a human being. He's more than a name on a jersey, or a face on tv, or a guy with 6 Super Bowl rings.
He's a husband, and a father. That comes first. He's got feelings. And most of the time he's got to hide them from the world because the world can't seem to handle it when they see them.
And we forget that when it comes to sports heroes.
So with all the talk of how he/the team failed, and all the speculation that his time in New England may be over-
I'm just going to say "Thank You, Tom". You've given us some of the best sports memories of our lives. And although I want nothing more than to see you back in NE with The Pats, I'll be a fan whatever you decide.
You've earned everything you've got. Including my loyalty."
