Alex Cora is in real trouble, and it looks like his days as the Sox skipper are over.
His former team, The Houston Astros just got crushed with an unprecedented punishment from MLB for a system created to steal signs from opposing teams. Their manager AJ Hinch and GM Jeff Lunhow both were suspended for an entire year. The team also lost a first AND second round draft pick in 2020 and 2021. Oh, and add a $5 million fine to that as well.
And since Cora was a crucial part of that- and because the Sox have been implicated in sign stealing allegations during the following year- the year they won the World Series- his punishment - according to sources - is going to be worse.
