My Weekend: Daisy Mae, The Adam Ezra Group, Moose, and "Lobesters"

Ok- so lets deal with the big news right up front: We finally got a new dog! We adopted a 5 mo. old pup from Mississippi whom we named "Daisy Mae", thanks to Sweet Paws Rescue!

She's adorable and already feels like a perfect fit for our family! (You can see an entire post about it below on my page).

Check out this video -

And while Daisy occupied most of our weekend, getting her, getting her settled, and letting her chill for a couple days to get used to the place- we DID do some other stuff!

We checked out the Adam Ezra Group at the Vernon Family Farm in Newfields! It's a cool little farm that hosts "Agritourism" events like concerts right on the grass of the farm! Pretty cool spot and they serve craft beers and food from farm to table!

And here Adam from the band grab a pic with NIcole and Arty from the farm! (Thanks to Sandi Fournier for the photo!)

It was a great show with a real communal feel to it - as AEG shows usually are! The band was in top form- and the acoustic singalongs to end the show are always awesome-

It was a great night with great friends (and that includes the band!)

I also hit the road at 2am on Saturday morning to head up to Errol NH to see if I could grab any Moose photos.

I saw only TWO moose that day. One - was at 4am on Rt 16 up by Wildcat Mtn and it SCARED THE S*** OUTTA ME. It was a MONSTER cow and although I didn't come close to it, it still startled me -standing in the middle of the road! Almost had to change my friggin shorts!

And if that wasnt bad enough- here's the one pic I DID get of one!

Little lady was walking up the road from me when I came around a corner, and this was the only shot I got!

Whatcha gonna do, right? Dang it!

I did find this cool covered bridge though, with some nice early morning sun!

Also - it wouldn't be a weekend if I didn't catch some sort of Bald Eagle action, right?

And this waterfall - which is called Screw Auger Falls in Grafton Notch ME.

But my goal for the roadtrip?

Went largely unfilled.

I did see this on the way home in Oxford Maine-

Drove past this sign - and thought- "Ok, who's gonna tell em?"

Naturally I was gonna have some fun with this- but I looked it up when i got home and found this out: The sign was originally painted - and mispelled DECADES ago - but they thought it was kind of funny- so THEY LEFT IT THAT WAY! Then - last year when they re-did the sign - THEY LEFT IT IN AGAIN!!! And that right there, my friends- is TOTALLY FRIGGIN MAINE!

And I LOVE it. Rock on Smedberg's!

So thats the weekend in a nutshell.

Gotta go though - gotta pick up dogs**t again! haha- (i don't mind!_
