My Weekend: Stonefaced, Sunrises, Cruise Ships

So here it is in a nutshell - over the next couple weeks, I'm going to be hitting the road a LOT with the camera. And this weekend- I got after it right after work on Friday - because the surf warnings were out, so I headed to Nubble Light in Cape Neddick ME!

It always makes for dramatic images-

and some that aren't so dramatic! Haha -

Then Friday night our brew crew hit one of our favorite spots - STONEFACE BREWING Co in Newington!

We had a blast, drank a few and had some great food! Then it was home to grab some sleep.

Saturday morning I started the day in Portland ME at Portland Head Light...and there was some GIANT waves there!

Havent gotten to those pics yet though- hahah. You'll see em soon!

I then shot home to get Valerie and head back to Portland to do some shopping for the Iceland trip in a few weeks. Got that done, and then hit Roberts Maine Grill for a little Jambalaya- along with an Allagash White!

Man that dish is good!

Got home and hit the rack early because I got up at 3am to head way north to Owls Head (almost to Bar Harbor ME) to photograph a sunrise there for the first time. When I got there - there was great color in the sky before the sun rose -

The second shot was taken before the first- that's Owls Head Harbor.

After that color dissipated, it was a bit of a waiting game. Here's a video I did.....

Really? A FRIGGIN GIANT CRUISE SHIP!!?? What is this? KEY WEST?????

UGH.

Anyway- alls well that ended well. I did get some good shots -

Yeah, I take a selfie at every place I shoot. Who knows? Maybe I'll do a book of em and it will sell milllions? Hahah-

I then hit Rockland, and Camden- and stopped for a little breakfast on a restaurant that sits on top of a waterfall overlooking Camden Harbor -

I ordered 2 eggs over easy- and got poached instead. No dig deal. It was fine. Cool place - sorry I don't remember the name- but its the only place that sits above a waterfall - haha - google it if you want!

Got home about 2ish and chilled with Valerie and Daisy and we watched the entire series of THE PERFECT COUPLE on Netflix.

And let me tell ya - Netflix sucks at making movies- no matter who's in them - but they CRUSH series, and this is EXCELLENT! A great who-dunnit with Nicole Kidman, Liev Schrieber, Dakota Fanning and Bono's daughter Eve Hewson. Watch it. You will thank me later! haha
