One of the benefits of doing with I do with a camera and the places I go to to it- is that I often get to see wildlife. Moose, bear, deer. bald eagles, foxes, loons- you name it. And I LOVE photographing them! It's such a thrill for me to encounter wildlife and capture that moment in an image!
Capturing a bear in an image is probably the biggest thrill just because of the danger you have to be aware of, but of all the animals or birds I've photographed- FOXES are the most beautiful and playful of all the them.
I encountered a fox at Race Point in Provincetown MA last weekend and I thought you'd like to see how beautiful and playful they can be- so here are some of the images I got -
This Mom actually ran into my legs while I was leaning in to the back seat of the truck to grab some gear! I guess they arent afraid of people at the popular beach I was at- but I never thought one would actually RUN INTO me! By the time I knew what it was - she was ten feet past me. So I followed around this barn - and hung back a ways- only to see her attending to three baby foxes (kits)!
Here, she's looking out for her mate, who's due back with some food for the kids! (He brought back a wood duck in its mouth just as I was leaving!)

So here are some of the other shots I got with her and the kits-

"All the better to eat you with, my dear!" (check out the teeth!!)

And now the kits-

And the cutest of all -

So beautiful, and so playful - but you gotta remember to keep your distance- because you don't want to mess with a Momma or Poppa fox because they will come at ya! Gotta always respect wildlife!
Hope you like the pics!
