So I'm gonna start my weekend on Thursday night - with the Buzz Beer Party at Northwoods Brewing Co. It was a sold out event for Lend a Helping Can and it was a 4 course meal, paired with 4 different beers- and it was awesome. Awesome folks all around- but what was especially cool to me was that a bunch of folks from our Ireland trip were there!
From L-R, Jeff, Jamie, Nancy, Tom, Darryl and Rebecca all were there and it was great to see them! That's the cool thing about these trips we do with Collette! You meet the nicest folks -and we all gained new friends!!! I can't wait to go to Portugal in late September, because several of the folks who went on the other trips are coming back! That tells you how good these trips are! (If you're interested- see the full details by clicking HERE! Seats are limited and going fast- so don't wait to book it if you want to come along! So - that was a great way to start the weekend early!
On Friday afternoon we had a work party at Revo Casino and Social House in Dover - and Scotty and I were f'n around....
Friday night was pizza and beer night with our brew crew friends Gary and Lorraine and Tyler and Morgan joined us (no pics though!). We had a great time! And Saturday we went furniture shopping for a new entertainment center for the living room. And since when are furniture stores selling igloos? Friggin spoiled kids, right??? hahah
And just a moment to pay homage to my favorite appliance in the kitchen - my coffee machine. I love her. <grin>
Saturday night, we just chilled at home and watched the movie - "SPRINGSTEEN".
It was VERY good- and Jeremy Alan White was excellent- but the role that stole the movie for me was the guy who played Bruce's lifelong manager Jon Landau - actor Jeremy Strong. Dude absolutely deserves a best supporting actor Oscar!
Went out and literally froze my fingers off on Sunday morning. Headed to Portland ME. -15 degree wind chill- and since I cant shoot with the camera if i have a glove on my right hand because the shutter button is heat and pressure sensitive (Don't let some glove companies tell you their glove is "perfect for photographers" - because I call BULLSHIT on that. They don't work.) Anyway- 90 seconds without a glove on, and my fingers were killing me because of the code. It was strange because that's not anywhere near the lowest temps I've been out in- but on Sunday- the cold was worse than any of those other times. ANYWAY- I started shooting across Casco Bay, as I watched the Snow Moon set over Portland

Ya gotta cover up as much as you can - and use layers too! Then it was on to Portland Head Light-

Then a zip down to Biddeford where I met Valerie, and our daughter Cait and Bri, her partner- for breakfast at The Palace Diner! What a cool, old fashioned diner (with only about 10 seats in the place- all along the counter)! And the food was great!

Then I headed down to Cape Porpoise - where the cold wasn't as bad as Portland- but it was still a tad nipply!

And if you're still wondering how cold it was - how about this - saw this in Biddeford -
And once I got home and warmed up a bit - I did some serious couch work -

What can I say? I majored in Communications at UNH, but I did minor in Napping!
After that it was Celtics, dinner with the wife, The Grammy's and back to bed -
So - that was my weekend. For me? I'd give it an 8.9.
Oh and I almost forgot-
Always gotta include Daisy Mae!!! hahah
Hope you had a good weekend -
