Obviously the last few months have been difficult and the last two weeks have been about changes, changes I didn't want, but I had to make. I have had months to make a decision on what to do with Jeff's truck . . .I loved the Ridgeline. I often drove the truck on weekends to haul the camper, to make a trip to the dump . . .it was comfort to see it in the driveway every day when I pulled into the house. It was memories with Jeff that I liked having close. Anyways, I made the decision to return the leased truck. I have been paying for it for the last 3 months, I know wasted money, but it was so hard. I tried to drive it full time, but between kids, Otis and groceries and running around it just wasn't roomy enough. My car had a third row and that comes in handy with kids and friends and just running around. The problem with getting rid of the truck is that my car is a 4 cylinder and can't pull our pop-up camper. I absolutely LOVED my car! I bought it they day after Christmas last year. I bought it thinking I would drive it for 10 years! A car that I would have for a long time. I know people would think this is a first world problem, but having to make this change, like all the other changes in my life, is not what I wanted. To have to make a decision on a new car that I didn't want and to get rid of Jeff's truck, a piece of him, to get rid of my car, a car that I loved. It has been a very emotional few weeks. I know buying a new car shouldn't add to my grief, but all these changes is hitting me hard.
In my search for a new car I went to McGovern Hyundai in Bow and met Matt, Elyze and a bunch of friendly folks. They knew my story, they knew it wasn't a happy decision to buy a new car, They knew I was sad. They were so sincere, so helpful, so kind during all of this. Although this hasn't been easy, this was the best decision for my boys and me. We chose the Hyundai Palisade . . .it has the third row, it tows 5,000 lbs., it's a beautiful car, with a lot of perks. I want to say THANK YOU, for the no pressure sales team.
I also want to give a shout out to CJ at Carmax in Manchester. He was such a pleasure to work with in selling my car. A very personable young man who will do great things in his life. It's great to meet someone so young that had AWESOME communication skills! Carmax definitely was a great option for selling my car! They gave me a great price so I didn't have to pay them too much to pay off my loan.
Thank you to everyone I worked with for making the process easy through this difficult time. Here is to new memories in our new vehicle.
