RECIPES:
MY TRY AT RAISING CANE’S CHICKEN – Parker really wanted me to make a copycat Raising Cane’s chicken . . .I tried and the boys said they were good, but not Raising Cane according to them. They still enjoyed them. I cut chicken breasts into chicken tender size and in a bowl mix butter milk, eggs and Cajun seasoning and pour into a zip lock bag with the chicken and let them sit overnight in the marinade. When you are ready to make your chicken in a bowl, mix flour, cornstarch, paprika, salt, pepper, onion powder and garlic powder. I have a deep fryer, or you can just put oil in a pot on the stove. Take your chicken and coat in the flour mixture and deep fry until cooked through. For you canes sauce: mayonnaise, ketchup, Worcestershire, black pepper and garlic powder.
HAM AND CHEESE CRESCENTS – I made a ham this weekend so with some leftovers I chopped the ham, used crescent rolls, put some Dijon mustard down, some Swiss cheese and gruyere cheese and your ham and then roll the crescent up. Brush hot butter on top and sprinkle with fresh thyme and bake 350 degrees for 10 minutes or golden.
