State AG to Appeal Skill-Games Ruling to State Supreme Court
(Harrisburg, PA) -- State Attorney General Michelle Henry is appealing a unanimous ruling by the lower Commonwealth Court on the legality of so-called skill game machines. She says she'll file a petition to have the Pennsylvania Supreme Court decide whether they're legal. The Commonwealth Court had ruled that the devices manufactured by Pace-O-Matic were not illegal gambling devices. They also said that the machines wouldn't violate state laws that prohibiting slot machines outside of licensed casinos. The skill games currently aren't regulated, taxed or licensed.
