Inn at Reading Closed, Land To Be Redeveloped By New Owner
(Wyomissing, PA) -- A dozen people who have been permanent residents have had to vacate their homes at the Inn at Reading on short notice. A posting of business closure relayed that all guests had to have left the property by Tuesday or risk being removed as trespassers. A person who worked at the hotel and event venue says they've also lost their jobs. The mayor of Wyomissing says a deal to sell The Inn will close tomorrow. He adds that the new owners, who he declined to identify, plan to tear down the building and redevelop the property. The hotel had been in business for nearly 60 years.
