A 16-year-old from Jennings, La. is graduating from high school and already set to go off to college.

Alanah Poullard has been accepted by 60 colleges, along with over $1 million in scholarship offers.

Her plans are to attend LSU in the fall, where she'll major in microbiology. After that, it's off to medical school with a plan to become a trauma surgeon.

And if her name sounds familiar, it may be because Poullard first grabbed the attention of the internet when she was just five after visiting the White House for a Wounded Warriors event and successfully getting then-President Obama to write her a school excuse note.

At the time, Obama said he'd given her a bit of advice: show your teacher the note, but don't let her keep it.
