'Becoming Led Zeppelin' will hit theaters

Led Zeppelin will illuminate the silver screen with their long-awaited documentary, "Becoming Led Zeppelin." Sony Classics Pictures has acquired the rights to distribute the film, but the exact release date remains a mystery.

"Becoming Led Zeppelin" premiered with rough cut at the prestigious Venice Film Festival in September 2021. Since then, the documentary has undergone significant refinement, including a new sound mix and previously unseen material sourced directly from the personal archives of the band members. This meticulous revision process has built excitement for what is touted to be an intimate exploration of the band's genesis.

The film recalls the formative years of Jimmy Page, John Paul Jones, Robert Plant, and John Bonham, culminating with the release of the group’s groundbreaking second album, "Led Zeppelin II," in 1969.
