Johnston Green Days Celebrates 28th Year

(Johnston, IA) -- The annual Johnston Green Days festival wrapped up its third and final day on Saturday. Some the events included a pancake breakfast, parade, and barbecue competition. A carnival, live music, and vendors have also been present for attendees to enjoy. Festival organizer, Sam Winebrenner, says its all comes together with the help of several partners each year, including local businesses.

"We really do depend on the community to come out and support us," Winebrenner said, "so we can keep this festival growing year after year." She says this year's festival organizers had planned ahead for any changes in weather, with a large tent for attendees in case of rain.
