Despite the ongoing border crisis, the Biden Administration has now decided to shut down ICE's largest detention facility, citing the high price to run it. This just goes to show that Biden is not concerned about the border crisis.
Former Acting I.C.E. Director Ron Vitiellio told KTRH, "The need for detention, whether it's funded appropriately or not, is not really a priority for this administration. This is an example of them not really paying attention to the numbers, not really trying to solve the problem."
Vitiellio thinks this is only going to encourage even more illegal aliens to try and cross the border. He said, "People know that if they make it past the border, even if they are someone that might need to be held, they're likely to be released. They're likely to be able to go where they want."
Vitiellio says while the numbers have come down a little from their peak, we are still in record territory, and that's because of how the Biden Administration has skewed the incentive structures to encourage illegal immigration.
