The Cape is getting a visit from a foreign dignitary this week.
The Prime Minister of Cape Verde Ulisses Correia e Silva is slated to arrive on Thursday.
He'll be visiting the Cape Cod Cape Verdean Museum and Cultural Center in East Falmouth and the Falmouth Cape Verdean Club.
Correia e Silva will be honoring the cultural center with his West African island country's top Medal of Cultural Merit.
The Cape Verdean people have maintained strong ties to the Cape Cod community for centuries.
