Elly dazzled under the bright lights of New York City, homering, tripling, scoring twice and driving in two runs. Will Benson jacked his first homer since May 28. Graham Ashcraft bounced back from a tough last outing, taking a shutout to the 6th. Four relievers held off a Yankees comeback.
The Reds led 5-0 into the 6th. The Yankees chipped away with three in the 6th and one in the 7th.
