(Des Moines, IA) -- More than 700 fireworks complaints have been reported in Des Moines since the beginning of July.
The Des Moines Police Department says it has received 721 complaints from July 1st at 6pm to 6am Friday morning, amounting to 25 percent of calls during that time period. 52 fireworks citations have been issued since June 20th of this year, which is up from this time last year.
