Lets take a look at Friday prices at the pump as we head into the weekend. The average price for a gallon in the Beaumont/Port Arthur area is up two cents from last week to $3.02 a gallon. A year ago on July 5th, we were paying $3.08 a gallon. No change in the statewide average over the past week as it stays at $3.10 a gallon. The national average for a gallon of gas is up a penny to $3.51. These averages are from Triple A Texas.
