Boosie Badazz is mourning the loss of a treasured member of his family.

On Sunday night, July 7, the Louisiana native took to social media and announced his pooch Skoob had passed away. Skoob was a grey-and-white nano bully. In a post he wrote on X, Boosie expressed how hurt he was by the dog's death. He screenshotted the post and uploaded it to Instagram where he continued to reflect on his thoughts about Skoob. Along with the emotional post, he shared a video of Skoob from dog breeder Big League Exotics and another photo of them together on Christmas.

"IM GO MISS U 🐶 SMH," he wrote.

Hundreds of fans infiltrated Boosie's comment section with condolences for Skoob. One user on Instagram noted that she got to meet the pup and he was "so sweet." Another fan also noted that the dog had the same name as Boosie's late friend Trouble, also known as "Skoob." The 34-year-old artist, born Mariel Semonte Orr, was shot and killed in 2022 during a home invasion. The shooter, Jamichael Jones, was involved in a domestic dispute with the woman and didn't know who Trouble was when he shot him.

“I didn’t get to tell my boy thank you, so I wanna tell Trouble thank you," Boosie said at Trouble's funeral. "He always supported me. That was my n***a and I’m hurting for ya’ll because I’m hurting for five years. You know, I wasn’t with him 30 years, so I just wanna tell that n***a thank you. That was my boy and I just wanna tell em thank you, that was my boy.”

Rest in peace, Skoob.
