A new police officer has been sworn in in Dennis.
Officer Abigail Plourde is now on the job after a swearing in ceremony.
She grew up in Plymouth and graduated from Plymouth High School before attending the Police Academy.
Plourde previously worked as a Public Safety Officer at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Plymouth and is a graduate of the inaugural class of the Massachusetts State Police Cadet Program.
