A man was flown to the hospital in Palm City Tuesday after he was "reportedly run over by a bulldozer."

That's according to Martin County Fire Rescue, which posted on social media site "X" that the incident happened around 11 a.m. along the 1,000 block of Southwest 35th Street, near Martin Highway.

Crews were using the bulldozer to free a truck that was stuck in the mud when the truck driver became pinned between the two vehicles. The man was freed from the machinery then airlifted to HCA Florida Lawnwood Hospital in Fort Pierce in serious condition.

Fire Rescue says the Martin County Sheriff's Office is investigating the incident.
