Four Iowans Identified in Deadly Plane Crash in Indiana

(Madison County, IN) -- Four Iowans who died in a plane that left the Fort Dodge airport Friday morning and later crashed in Indiana have been identified. Madison County, Indiana Coroner Adam Matson says all of the occupants of the Piper PA-46-350P Malibu Mirage aircraft died when the plane went down about two miles southeast of the Anderson, Indiana, Municipal Airport. Matson identified the victims as:

  • 68-year-old Joseph R. Seallon of Iowa Falls, Iowa
  • 36-year-old Braden Hicks of Manson, Iowa
  • 41-year-old Jesse Ostheimer, of Alden, Iowa
  • 19-year-old "Owen" James Renaud of Alden, Iowa

Matson says the plane lost altitude for an undetermined reason.

The crash site is approximately 40-miles northeast of Indianapolis. The crash remains under investigation.
