An 8-year-old Ohio girl is back home after she stole her parents’ SUV and drove it to a Target 13 miles away.
The incident occurred Sunday morning in Bedford, where the unidentified girl’s parents discovered both she and their 2020 Nissan Rogue was missing, police say. An investigation was launched, and police eventually tracked down the SUV in the parking lot of a Target in Bainbridge, according to the Bedford PD. They found the girl inside the store, a spokesman adds.
Although the girl struck a mailbox during her drive to the store, she managed to navigate Sunday morning traffic safely, police say. As of early Monday afternoon, no charges had been filed in the case.
