YFN Lucci is doing just fine after a horrible rumor about his passing spread on social media.

The Atlanta native's name began trending on platforms like X formerly known as Twitter on Wednesday afternoon, September 18, after a blog claimed he passed away in prison. Lucci's attorney Drew Findling spoke to TMZ and confirmed his client is still alive despite the viral post. Rapper FredRarrii also provided proof of life by posting a recent video call with Lucci to his Instagram account.

"Stop Believing Everything Yall See Myboy Is Safe In Good Hands‼️" he wrote. "He One Of Them Ones #GOD Got His Hands On💯🙏 Free Myboy @yfnlucci."

Fans took to social media and expressed concern about YFN Lucci after the false post went viral across multiple platforms without any sources. Some people pointed out that, if true, Quavo would be the only living artist from Lucci's hit song "Key To The Streets." Others were also quick to bring up Rich Homie Quan, who passed away earlier this month.

YFN Lucci is currently serving his 10-month prison sentence after pleading guilty to one count of violation of the Street Gang Terrorism and Prevention Act. Lucci previously faced 12 counts including felony murder for the December 2020 murder of James Adams. Lucci didn't fire the deadly bullet but he reportedly drove one of the cars that was involved in the shooting. He surrendered to police on January 13, 2021, and was thrown back in jail a few months later after violating the terms of his release. It's possible that he could be released by January 2025.
