Clean Slate Offered To Florida Man Who Threatened To 'Murder' Trump, Vance

After two attempts have been made on the former president's life, we're learning that a man arrested over the summer for posting that Trump should be killed has been offered a clean slate in court.

68-year old Michael Wiseman of Jupiter admitted to writing on social media "Trump and Vance should be murdered before they turn us into West Russia. No time like the present," and "READY, AIM, FIRE. Rinse and Repeat."

At the time of his arrest, just days after the first Trump assassination attempt, Wiseman faced a second degree felony of written threats to kill, punishable by up to 15 years in prison. But we've now learned he will serve no prison time and was allowed to opt into a pre-trial diversion program.

Wiseman will be eligible to have his charges expunged from his record, and would have no issues purchasing a gun if he adheres to the rules of the deal for the next year and a half.

The State Attorney's Office says that it agreed to the deal due to Wiseman's medical conditions and circumstances surrounding his offense and his lack of criminal history.

The defendant will have to comply with mental health screenings and take whatever medication doctors prescribe to him.

During a search of Wiseman's home, no weapons were found.

Full statement from PBC State Attorney's Office:

"We agreed to the Pre-Trial Intervention resolution in this case after considering the defendant's medical conditions and circumstances surrounding his offense, and his lack of criminal history. This agreement ensures the safety of the community with conditions that provide for the defendant's continuing mental health treatment and restrictions from possessing any firearms or weapons. Any violations by the defendant would void the agreement and he would face prosecution of the felony charge. The defendant, a first-time offender, also admitted guilt in making the threats that led to his arrest."
