LEE TOWNSHIP (WOOD-AM) - The Allegan County Sherriff’s Office says a driver was arrested after hitting and killing a bicyclist in Lee Township.

Sheriff's detectives say a sport-utility vehicle struck the bicyclist on 111th Avenue around 10 p.m.

The bicyclist was found dead at the scene, according to the sheriff’s office.

The driver has been taken to jail.

The sheriff’s office said alcohol and speed are likely factors in the incident.
