Gas prices in the Beaumont/Port Athur area are down three cents from last week. This morning’s average price for a gallon is $2.77. Last year on this date we were paying $3.37 a gallon. The statewide average is $2.79 a gallon, which is down two cents. The national average is down a penny to $3.22 a gallon. These averages are from Triple A Texas.
