The National Retail Federation has just come out with their annual report on Halloween spending in the U.S. and this year, they expect consumers to drop over $11-billion, with 72% of them planning to celebrate and spend an average of $103.63 per person. An increasing number of shoppers are starting their Halloween purchases earlier this year, with nearly half shopping before October, a trend that has grown over the past decade. Young adults, particularly those aged 25-34, are leading this early shopping trend, with many who consider Halloween their favorite holiday and spend more on average. Halloween decorations have also seen substantial growth, with spending on décor increasing by 42% from 2019 to 2024.
