(Cedar Rapids, IA) -- Crime is going down in Cedar Rapids.
New statistics from the Cedar Rapids Police Department show crime dropping across six categories, including homicide, aggravated assault, burglary, thefts from a vehicle, theft of vehicles, and reports of shots fired. Homicide is down 88% this year compared to 2023. Burglaries in Cedar Rapids are down 21%.
The other four categories have also seen decreases so far in 2024.
