A recent survey conducted by Talker Research finds many Americans are finding it tough to make new friends. The survey reveals that 39-percent of people haven't made a new friend in over a year, and many feel their social lives are stuck in a rut. The same survey also says that the average person only spent one on one time with friends they already have about seven times in the last year. Experts suggest that planning group activities or trips could help rejuvenate social connections.
A Simon and Garfunkel reunion is unlikely, but a new Garfunkel and Garfunkel album is due out this week. "Father and Son" is the new album by Art Garfunkel and his son Art Garfunkel, Junior. The album includes an updated version of Simon and Garfunkel's "Old Friends". There are also covers of songs by The Beatles, Eurythmics and The Everly Brothers. The title song, "Father And Son" is a cover of a Cat Stevens tune. The album comes out on Friday.

According to a list compiled by Far Out Magazine, the absolute saddest song ever recorded is Nirvana's "Something In The Way." The tragic tune, written entirely by lead singer Kurt Cobain, is featured on 1991's Nevermind as an "ode to solitude." Other songs that made the list of the top 5 saddest classic rock songs of all time include Pearl Jam's "Black," Alice in Chains "Nutshell," Eric Clapton's "Tears In Heaven," and R.E.M.'s "Everybody Hurts."

A Christmas classic is getting a new home. Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, is leaving CBS for NBC. The stop motion film will be leaving its long-time home network to return to NBC, which actually premiered the film 60 years ago. NBC is planning a telecast of the film on Friday, December 6th.
Just in time for the holidays, there's a new wax figure at Madame Tussauds in New York City. It's the "Queen of Christmas." Mariah Carey took to Instagram this week to thank the museum for honoring her and posted a photo of herself sitting next to her wax likeness. Included in her post is a short video of her and her children marveling over how much the wax figure resembles their mom. The exhibit is now open and visitors can see wax Mariah.
