The Louisiana Secretary of State's office says about 9,400 voting machines are ready to go statewide for today's election.
Secretary of State Nancy Landry says all parishes should have enough poll workers, but encourages voters to be patient if they encounter long lines.
She says a third of Louisiana's registered voters cast ballots in record-breaking early voting, but at least a million voters are expected to turn out today.
