QUINCY, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — In Massachusetts and across the country, Election Day has arrived.
While most voters know about the choice of candidates for this election from the presidency to local representatives, some may be less familiar with this year’s ballot questions.
WBZ NewsRadio talked to voters in North Quincy as to what voters will be most focused on heading into the polls.
Ballot Question 2 on eliminating the MCAS as a graduation requirement is on the minds of many parents.
“I would definitely hope they eliminate it,” said one parent.
Quincy resident Linda has the mindset that standardized testing does not reflect a student's academic abilities.
“It’s all about let’s make sure we get our scores up,” she said.

Mahmoud disagrees and believes that Question 2 should receive a Yes vote and thinks that MCAS is a strong point for high school students in the state, not a weakness.
“Without having MCAS, it will be very difficult for schools to really gauge student understanding,” he said.
Other voters have strong opinions on different ballot questions such as Question 4 on the legalization of psychedelic mushrooms.
"There's so many studies behind psychedelics being connected to healing mental health [struggles]," said Devon.
Whether it's voting to keep or eliminate MCAS testing, tipped wages, the legalization of psychedelic substances, or the future of unions for rideshare drivers, it is all up to voters to decide the way forward.
Polling stations across Massachusetts are open until 8 p.m. Tuesday.
