Early voting in Rhode Island ended Monday and according to the Secretary of State's Office, nearly 28-percent of registered voters cast a ballot.
As of 4:45 p.m. yesterday the state's voter-turnout-tracker showed more than 171-thousand people had voted early and the Board of Elections received more than 48-thousand mail-in ballots, for a total of more than 219-thousand.
The Rhode Island Department of State's Elections Division has a few final reminders for eligible voters who want to cast a ballot in today's General Election.
Polling places will be open from 7 a.m. until 8 p.m., with the exception of New Shoreham, where polls will be opening at nine-o'clock this morning.
Voters can find their Election Day polling place by looking up their voting record online.
Residents who are eligible to vote, but forgot to register by the deadline can still vote with same-day registration.
