Life's too short not to splurge on an expensive meal every now and again, whether for a special occasion like a birthday or anniversary or simply to just treat yourself to an extravagant meal with exceptional service.
Using user reviews, awards and accolades, and first-hand experience, LoveFood compiled a list of the the "most expensive" place to dine in every state, the eateries that are "genuinely worth a blowout" price tag for the service, atmosphere and food you get in exchange.
According to the site, the most expensive restaurant in all of South Carolina is Halls Chophouse in Charleston, which has a steak selection clocking in at over $150. Halls Chophouse is located at 434 King Street.
Here's what LoveFood had to say about this pricey establishment:
"Swanky Halls Chophouse, which has four other locations, serves some incredible cuts of meat — and it's the quality and preparation that customers pay through the nose for. The priciest is the 16oz Australian Westholme New York strip, as butter-soft and richly flavored as one might expect for $165. Sides such as creamed corn ($19) and lobster mac 'n' cheese ($25) are a must-order, while you'll also pay extra for sauces."
