Minnesota Vikings running back Aaron Jones suffered an apparent injury during Sunday's road game against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Jones was injured on a 7-yard run with 4:41 remaining in the third quarter, having initially stayed on the ground for an extended period of time before walking to the sideline with trainers to be evaluated before later being carted into the locker room during the Vikings' next offensive drive. FOX Sports sideline reporter Kristina Pink reported that Jones was questionable to return.
Jones recorded 71 yards on 13 rushing attempts prior to exiting the game. The 29-year-old had previously suffered a hip injury during the Vikings' Week 5 win against the New York Jets in London.
Jones said he initially felt tightness during warmups, which he said loosened prior to kickoff before re-tightening after a 23-yard pass from backup quarterback Nick Mullens in the first quarter of the Week 5 London game. The former Texas-El Paso standout returned to the Vikings' lineup for the Week 7 loss to the Detroit Lions and hasn't missed a game since. Jones is the Vikings' leading rusher with 636 rushing yards, along with two touchdowns on 94 carries.
