Last Tuesday was -really- special with Election Day, and today marks the unofficial start of the 89th Texas legislative session.
So what does that mean? Basically, that lawmakers can begin filing some of the bills that they hope that Governor Greg Abbott will sign next year. It's the start of “pre-filing” of legislation, which allows us to see some of the issues on the agenda when the Legislature gavels in for day one on Jan. 14th.
As noted here at KTRH.com, some of the big ticket items include more for immigration, education and school choice, minimum wage, social media for kids, and LGBTQ issues, and getting back to common sense and just two sexes.
