John Mulaney and Olivia Munn's son had the funniest response to meeting his new baby sister for the very first time.
The comedian spoke to People at the GQ Man of the Year party on Thursday (November 14) about his family and specifically how his and Munn's 2-year-old son Malcolm has responded to having a new baby in the house after the couple welcomed their daughter Méi via surrogate in September.
"He's doing good. He likes it. It's interesting, with our daughter, she's two months old so she doesn't do much," he said. "And I think the first couple of weeks he thought she might be a toy because she'd squeak and he'd be like, 'How do I make it do that again?' Now I think he gets it, that this is a little girl, yeah."
It's been an eventful few years for the couple, especially as Munn was diagnosed with breast cancer in April 2023. Since first announcing her diagnosis earlier this year, the Newsroom actress has detailed her numerous surgeries and been vulnerable about the amount of "guilt" she has experienced throughout her "debilitating" cancer journey.
Munn also recently shared some insight into the early days of relationship with her now-husband, admitting that she "barely knew" him when she first found out she was pregnant with Malcolm and didn't really start dating until she was around six months pregnant.
"It wasn't necessarily 'We're going to be married and live together’ or any of that," she said, "but it was 'I will be involved in some way.'"
