Human-Faced Fish Appears In Man’s Garden Pond

DW: THIS is why I eat hotdogs and potted meat.

Bob is a koi fish that appears to have a human-like face, thanks to black markings on his head that resemble human eyes, a nose, and a mouth. Malcolm Pawson, who bought Bob three years ago as a typical koi with vibrant white and orange colors, noticed these unusual markings develop over time due to sunlight, diet, and water conditions in his garden pond in Leeds, UK. "My friends and family love him. My daughter’s friends always ask to come see and feed him," said Malcolm, adding that even passersby stop to look when his gate is open.

Bob has gained popularity in Malcolm’s local community and on TikTok, where users comment on his eerie resemblance to a human face, calling him “beautiful,” and “creepy.” Malcolm, who enjoys the attention Bob brings, said he’s eager to expand the pond as the fish grow larger. "Bob is very greedy," he joked, noting his partner calls him a “feeder” for how often he treats Bob and the other fish.
