Holiday Lights Can Be Recycled At All Cape Cod Transfer Stations

Barnstable County is reminding residents that broken or unwanted holiday lights can be recycled at all Cape Cod transfer stations.

From now through mid-January 2025, residents can drop off old or damaged holiday lights at designated collection bins at their local transfer stations.

The lights will be processed, with recyclable materials recovered to reduce waste in Cape Cod landfills.

Kari Parcell with the Cape Cod Cooperative Extension says the recycling drive is an easy and free way for residents to keep holiday waste out of landfills to help protect the environment.
