4 UofR Students Charged for Putting Up Antisemitic Posters

Four University of Rochester students are facing felony charges after anti-semitic posters they allegedly put up around the university ended up damaging walls and floors.

A fifth student remains under investigation.

The "Wanted" posters targeted Jewish faculty members and officials of the UR.

They were found on Sunday, November 10th.

School officials say the four students will not face hate crime charges, as the incident currently does not meet the threshold of a hate crime.

The university did not specify what charges the students will be facing.

The University of Rochester's Public Safety Department issued a statement saying they are committed to addressing any action that endagers the mental or physical health of members of the University community.

The statement goes on to thank Rochester police for their help in investigating the incident and to area political leaders.
