*LIST* The Best Places To Retire In The U.S.

While some folks couldn’t imagine moving to another city in their golden years, others can’t wait to head somewhere new when they retire. Of course, some areas are better suited to the needs of those who’ve wrapped up their working years and “U.S. News & World Report” is out with their annual list of them.

  • Their 2025 Best Places to Retire ranking has just been announced.
  • The magazine evaluates 150 top U.S. cities on how well they meet Americans’ expectations for retirement, rating them on factors including affordability, health care, desirability, retiree taxes and job market.
  • They also score the cities on happiness, which is weighted the most heavily of all factors this year.
  • Happiness is one of the things helping Naples, Florida, take the number one spot. It also gets high scores for desirability, retiree taxes and job market.
