The Town of Wappinger is embracing the holiday spirit with a series of festive events. Starting today, families can drop off their Letters to Santa at the Parks and Recreation Department's Town Hall office. The red mailbox will be available until Wednesday, December 11th.

In addition to the Letters to Santa initiative, the town is also preparing for its annual celebration of lights. The parade of lights and tree lighting ceremony are scheduled for Saturday, December 7th. These events are part of a broader series of holiday festivities taking place across Dutchess County, as reported by Dutchess Tourism.

The holiday season is a time for communities to come together, and Wappinger is no exception. These events are free and open to all, providing an opportunity for residents to celebrate the season with their neighbors. So, whether you're penning a letter to Santa or planning to attend the parade of lights, there's plenty of holiday cheer to be found in Wappinger this season.
