Researchers in Australia found that if everyone over 40 in the U.S. walked as much as the most active 25% of the population, they could live an extra 5.3 years on average. And for the least active folks, this could mean up to 11 more years of life. The magic number to get the benefits? About 111 minutes (less than two hours) of walking per day.
