Jason Smith: Brian Kelly's Days At LSU Are Numbered

Jason and Mike react to the news that Bryce Underwood, the number one overall recruit in the 2025 College Football recruiting class, has flipped his commitment from LSU to Michigan. Seeing as the 17-year-old quarterback had been committed to LSU for the past 10 months, the guys sense something fishy going on. Could this be an indicator that head coach Brian Kelly's days with LSU are numbered?

Jason Smith: "This tells me Brian Kelly is in all kinds of trouble at LSU... It's not like LSU wouldn't give [Underwood a competitive NIL offer], so why else would he flip? You've been committed the entire time -- why else would a quarterback flip unless you think there's gonna be some kind of change?... 6-4 is a bad year for LSU and it's already been underwhelming under Kelly. There's no other reason that would cause you to make that flip. If you're committed to a place, and you love it the entire recruiting process, [you don't just flip like this]. I'm telling you, this is blinking red lights that Brian Kelly is in a lot of trouble and it could be as soon as this offseason [that he's fired]."
