Just hours after former Florida Congressman Matt Gaetz announced he is removing himself from consideration for the Attorney General position, Donald Trump wasted no time in naming his next pick.
This evening, Trump tabbed former Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi as his choice for U.S. Attorney General. In a Truth Social post, Trump said that she will "refocus the DOJ to its intended purpose of fighting crime and Making America Safe Again."
Bondi was the Florida AG from 2011 until 2019.
The choice comes after Gaetz removed himself over an ethics report accusing him of sexual relations with a minor, which he has vehemently denied.
