Police have arrested two people in connection to a bank robbery in West Des Moines.
West Des Moines Police responded to the robbery at Freedom Financial Bank on Jordan Creek Parkway just before 4 p.m. on Wednesday. There, officers and detectives gathered information which led them to a vehicle and a suspect believed to be involved.
A short while later, the Iowa State Patrol stopped a car they believed to be involved in the robbery on Interstate 80 just West of Anita, Iowa.
Daniel Mathes, from Georgia, is charged with 2nd-degree robbery and 1st-degree theft. Lisa Haire, also from Georgia, is charged with aiding and abetting robbery and theft.
Both are now in custody in the Dallas County jail.
