He had the swagger of Jagger and the power of Morrison. Michael Hutchence was a charismatic singer and songwriter who became one of the biggest stars of the '80s and '90s. His band INXS had a string of international hits including 'Never Tear Us Apart' 'Devil Inside' and 'Need You Tonight.' Sadly, it all came to an end on this day in 1997, when Hutchence was found dead in his hotel suite in Sydney, Australia. The rocker hanged himself with his belt in what some think was autoerotic asphyxiation gone awry, but there has been no evidence to confirm that.
