TikTok is influencing holiday gifting, according to a new survey that finds 55% of Americans have found ideas for holiday presents on the site this year. Another 39% have intentionally searched TikTok for gift ideas, and 12% say they haven’t found holiday presents on the site yet, but they plan to soon. TikTok has led people to food and beverage gifts (45%), personalized gifts (42%), tech gadgets (41%), clothing/accessories (39%), beauty and skincare gifts (39%) and DIY gifts (38%), while 33% have searched the site for toys and games to give to kids. Some shoppers are buying directly from the platform, including 47% who’ve bought items for themselves in the TikTok shop and 37% who’ve bought presents for others there.
